Mesa 14 was a modern restaurant with a different atmosphere than I’m used to. There was seating near the windows with pillows there were big booths photos all over the place and overall a great atmosphere. The food was fantastic and the service was as well.

APPETIZERS: TAQUITOS

The appetizer we got was the taquito’s which were really crunchy and warm. As well as being kind of oily, the shredded slightly seasoned chicken had simple flavors and went well with the sour cream and the spicy sauce.

CHICKEN, CHEESE AND BEEF ENCHILADAS

As our first main dish, we decided to get the chicken, cheese, and beef enchiladas They were perfectly put prepared and warm tortillas with a perfect homemade taste. You can practically taste the corn flour in it. The sauce on top was very spicy which made for many different flavors to be incorporated into the dish. The chicken one had tender shredded chicken and side covered in the same sauce while the cheese one had simple mozzarella cheese with a soft and simple flavor and the beef was well prepared and have different smoky flavors.

As for side dishes, the meal came with black beans. They had a nice soft texture, as well as the same buttery flavor, is as black bean dip usually has. I really enjoyed it and the mozzarella cheese that was melted on top definitely added more texture to it which was enjoyable

The rice was slightly spicy and had peas and onions incorporated into it which I did a lot more flavor to it and different textures as well.

KOREAN BBQ TACOS

Finally, the last meal we got was the Korean barbeque tacos. I found this interesting because it was mixing Korean flavors with the Mexican dish. It had the same soft corn tortilla as the enchiladas which had been slightly toasted in order to add a crunch to it. The different vegetables added, even more, texture and freshness to the entire dish and the meat was beautiful he smoked. All in all, it was a great dish.

OVERALL

Overall this was a fantastic restaurant and I will definitely be returning to try the rest of the menu.
