The biggest thing that stood out to me about this place was the decor. It had beer bottles converted into light fixtures, the menu was written on a chalkboard on the wall, and overall the decor all flowed very well. The wait staff was very helpful in helping us understand the menu and what they would recommend, and they were all super kind. This made the entire night a lot more enjoyable.

MENU ​​

Like I said, the menu was written on a chalkboard, and therefore it needed to be very simple in order to fit. This made choosing a whole lot easier, and they seemed to only but the best of the best dishes! A lot of the appetizers were seafood based, but they also offered grilled chorico ( a kind of Portuguese sausage). The entres were very simple, mostly grilled meats and sandwiches. All in all , very simple which I appreciated.

APPETIZERS (GRILLED CHORICO) ​​

The appetizers we decided to get was the grilled chorico that came with grilled bread, red peppers, and the chorico. All of it was oily but this really balanced out all the different textures that were coming from the crunchy bread and soft peppers. The chorico itself was tender and also slightly sweet, which was something I hadn’t been expecting. I really liked the way the meat and peppers tasted when places on the bread.

CHICKEN SANDWICH ​

The Chicken sandwich was the best I have ever had. It was amazing! The meat was incredibly tender and soft while remaining super flavorful. The lettuce and tomatoes added slight crunch and sweetness to the spiciness of Ye chicken and sauce. The bun was also very tasty. It was very difficult to eat as the amount of meat that was placed inside was insane. I find it incredibly worth every penny!

Fries also came with the chicken sandwich and I thought that it was a very good way to balance out the spiciness from their chicken and give it something extra. It had amazing seasonings that were very similar to the other Portuguese restaurant I went to called Les Trois Maria. It was salty had very peppery flavor is incorporated in it as well and overall it went very well with the sauce on the side which added a tiny bit more spice and creaminess to it.

CHICKEN COMBO BIFANA

This dish came with both grilled pork and grilled chicken. The pork was super tender and juicy and I really enjoyed the slightly smoky flavor of the entire thing. As for the chicken, it had simple seasoning with a spicy sauce that paired very well. When comparing it to the chicken from the chicken sandwich it had a lot more of a smokier flavor which is to be expected as it was grilled and it was just as tender and juicy as the meat from the sandwich.

OVERALL Overall this is one of my favorite restaurants ever in this journey out of this journey this is a perfect restaurant. The decor and atmosphere blew me away. From the kindness and helpfulness of the waiters and even of the owner and the fantastic Portuguese food. I have been recommending this to every single one of my family members and friends ever since I went. And I would highly recommend it to all of you. Thanks to Bocado grill for giving me an amazing experience.
